The Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union has organised this year the European Crime Prevention Award (ECPA), an exceptional exchange of crime prevention best practices around the European Union. The ECPA has been, since the start of the European Crime Prevention Network (EUCPN), one of the essential events of the network and continues to showcase the success of contemporary crime prevention.
The focus theme of the ECPA was “Working with a particularly vulnerable crime victim”.
In the European Crime Prevention Award process, Member States institutions could submit one project each which is addressing the focus theme.
The jury meeting to evaluate the many submitted projects took place on 8 November 2022, in Prague, where the Association of the European Network on Victims’ Rights had the honour to delegate a member in the jury committee. The winners will be announced at the Best Practice Conference organized by the EUCPN on 8-9 December 2022.
